Clarity of Innocence

That’s why love keeps coming up! It’s our default condition.

We were meant to grow up wild!

We were meant to lead from our heart, learning and growing in all the ways we, ourselves wished.

We were meant to feel loved with every cell of our bodies.

We were meant to feel the same way about those around us.

Nature can be a harsh and sometimes cruel environment.

It can make us hurt.

But, when it comes to hurt, nature is just a beginner.

What we do to each other has got to be, by far, the most pain the world has ever seen.

We force each other to live alone and in misery!

One by one, we destroy the trust in every child before they are big enough to call us on it.

We believe in discipline.

That’s not nature’s way. It’s not the way of real humans either.

It’s the way of the lonely!

The way of the angry!

Children love us. Right from day one, they will do absolutely anything for us.

Anything except give up their own right to be themselves.

They will even be willing to die for us.

And then, we betray that trust!

It’s probably the worst act that happens anywhere.

We really aren’t to blame. This has already happened to us.

Those of us who still remain our real selves would never do it. Families like that though are rare now, if they exist at all..

But, wouldn’t it have been lovely!

Appreciated, cherished, and left alone to follow our own path, people are fully functional.

In our present condition, we don’t even know what that means!

We are meant to live in a world rich with feelings. Our instincts are a big part of that world. Imagination too.

What we could have accomplished in that condition is beyond our ability to believe, not the way we are now.

So far though, it’s still possible.

We have to get past our belief that we have the right to destroy anything precious!

Trust comes first!

Then, we we need to start acting the way we should. The way that always makes us feel good, never bad!

Our hearts know! Our feelings know.

Some of our art knows. Some of it shows how lost we have become.

These human values have been with us the whole time.

Sometimes we call it honor!

Each of us feels it, every time we cross that line!

We push it away, and do what’s expected of us, while we really should be listening to our own hearts.

We need the reassurance that this path takes us into being better people, causing a better world.
